If you’ve been waiting to upgrade the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 you purchased since the tablet was announced last year, then your wait could end soon enough. Two new and unannounced Samsung tablets have just been spotted passing by US regulator FCC, and with IFA a few short weeks away, we could be looking at Samsung’s next tablets.
Recommended: The Galaxy Tab S2 is a curious “top tier” tabletUnfortunately, the documentation of these two tablets bearing the model numbers SM-P585 and SM-P585NO doesn’t provide enough details for us to confirm that the device is indeed a successor to the Galaxy Tab S2. What we can tell you however, is that both the devices feature an 8.0-inch display panel and a stylus, suggesting that that the tablets will sport an S Pen and could actually be Note-branded tablets.

The Galaxy Tab S2 has always been one of our tablets of choice despite its iPad-esque design and is still a great Android tablet. Samsung is widely expected to unveil its successor, the Galaxy Tab S3, at IFA 2016 in Berlin in a few weeks alongside its other devices, although its flagship Note 7 will be announced next week in New York.
The rumour mill has been quite quiet about these new tablets, though last week a Russian leaker had hinted at a September 1 launch date for the tablet which lines up with the press days ahead of the IFA. The new Tab S3 with an S Pen sounds pretty exciting and though we don’t have any more information as yet, Samsung could be creating another excellent tablet.
