How do I set time on my Nexus nextbook ares 8 lollipop tablet?

I began the start up wizard on the tablet, and I understand full and well the concept of choosing a timezone, but every one I choose isn't the correct time even if it is the correct timezone. My timezone is Rocky Mountain timezone, can you please help me figure this out?
