Confirmed: Huawei Mate 10 Family Coming To China On Oct. 20

Huawei has just released a new teaser via its official Weibo (Chinese social network) account, and this teaser confirms that the Mate 10 family of devices will be announced on October 20 in Huawei’s homeland. For those of you who did not catch yesterday’s news, Huawei had introduced three Mate 10 smartphones in Berlin, the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 10. Well, it seems like all those devices will be announced in China on October 20, as the company has scheduled an event for 2:30PM (local time).

In the provided teaser, Huawei clearly states that this is the Mate 10 series announcement, and the image itself also confirms it, as Huawei used the same graphics during yesterday’s announcement. Having said that, it is still unknown as to how much will the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 10 cost in China, though we do know its European price points, and it’s quite likely we’ll see similar prices in China as well, though all three devices will probably be a bit more affordable, as China is Huawei’s homeland, and a country where Huawei manufactures those phones. The Huawei Mate 10 is priced at €699 in Europe, while the Mate 10 Pro costs €799. The most expensive Mate 10 variant is the special edition PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 10, as it costs €1,395 in Europe. These price points will certainly give you at least some sort of a guideline for the Chinese prices.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro and PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 10 are more or less identical, the only difference comes to the Porsche branding on the special edition model, its paint job and increased amount of storage. In any case, all the Mate 10 smartphones are made out of metal and glass, while they’re all fueled by the Kirin 970 64-bit octa-core SoC, which is Huawei’s new flagship processor. All of these devices ship with Android 8.0 Oreo on the inside, with Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 8.0 on top. The Mate 10 Pro sports somewhat thinner bezels than the Mate 10, and unlike the Mate 10, it comes with an OLED display (6-inch one), which sports an 18:9 aspect ratio (fullHD+), while the Mate 10 sports a regular 16:9 aspect ratio, and a 5.99-inch display.
