Huawei’s Product Manager Shares Mate 10 Camera Samples ~ All Things Android

The Huawei Mate 10-series of devices will be announced later today by the company, and the Huawei Mate 10 camera samples have just surfaced. Now, Huawei is expected to announce four Mate 10-branded smartphones later today, the Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Porsche Edition and Mate 10 Lite. The first three smartphones will be the company’s flagship devices, while the last one will be Huawei’s mid-range smartphone. The event will start at 2PM CEST / 8AM EST / 5AM PST in Berlin, Germany, and while we’re waiting for it to start, let’s check out these Mate 10 camera samples, shall we.

The camera sample you can see in the gallery down below, come from the Huawei Mate 10, though chances are that the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Edition will have an identical camera setup, both in terms of software and hardware. All three of these devices will sport a dual camera setup on the back, and those two cameras will be flanked by a dual-LED, dual-tone flash, and a laser autofocus sensor. In any case, these images come from Huawei’s Product Manager, Mr. Bruce Lee, and were posted on his official Weibo (Chinese social network) account. You will see images taken in various scenarios here, which will show off the true potential of the Mate 10’s camera setup. It’s worth noting that the phone’s cameras come with Leica’s optics, and even though these images were cropped before posting, they still look really good. We won’t know how good the Mate 10’s camera truly is until we get some full size camera samples, but as you can see in the provided images, the Mate 10 managed to capture some images with plenty of contrast and saturation, while preserving a relatively true-to-life look. The low-light image (the one with the train in it), also looks quite good, and it’s a bit on the darker side because of the sunset, probably.

The Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Edition will be fueled by the Kirin 970 64-bit octa-core processor, while all three phones will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, with Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) skin on top of it. The Huawei Mate 10 will probably arrive in more than one RAM and storage variant, Huawei will probably release both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants of the Mate 10, and chances are that the phone will be made out of metal and glass.
