LG’s 6-inch premium phablet, the LG V30, has finally arrived in Canada and is available through nearly every carrier, though one network provider is only selling it online. In the meantime, it will also be sold outright at Best Buy, Wireless Wave, and Tbooth Wireless. For those who buy the device outright at those locations, the flagship has been priced at $1,099 CAD for the market and most providers, with slightly lower pricing available via deals through some carriers. It is, unfortunately, also only set to be available in the Cloud Silver color option for Canadian buyers. As to pricing and availability, each carrier has their own deal running for the LG V30, but Rogers will only be selling the device via its website or at the above-listed retail locations. It will go for either $299 or $499, depending on the payment options chosen. Rogers customers can choose to buy the device all at once for $999 CAD.
Meanwhile, it can also be bought without a payment plan for its suggested retail price at Bell or SaskTel. However, Bell is offering the V30 for a discounted $499 with a two-year contract on a 4GB data plan, $60 per month and $299 with the same plan, or for $70 per month. A $200 trade-in is also available with a plan activation or upgrade. SaskTel is offering a similar deal, with the V30 costing $499 with a two-year contract and $299 with Plus Pricing. As with Rogers, a $200 minimum trade-in credit is also available with a voice and data contract. Koodoo customers will be able to snag the LG V30, meanwhile, for either $500 or $670 – depending on the payment plan chosen – or pay $1030 to take it home without a payment plan. Telus has the phablet for sale at the same price for customers purchasing it outright and is offering $200 in trade credit for anybody activating or renewing a 2-year Choice plan and trading select devices. Those include the iPhone 5s, LG G4, Samsung Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Note 4, HTC’s M9, a Nexus 5, or a first-generation Google Pixel device – or any of those device’s latest iteration. It can also be had for $500, if users put down $300 and pay either $85 or $95 per month, depending on whether they are on a Your Choice plan or Premium Plus plan. The offer from Fido follows that trend and pricing will vary based on which of its 2-year contracts is chosen. Pricing for the carrier starts at $499 or $599, or the LG V30 can be purchased for $999. As with several other carriers, a $200 reduction in that cost is available for customers trading an iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy S3, BlackBerry Q10 or Z10, LG G2, or Nexus 5.
Last but not least, Freedom Mobile customers can either buy the device without a contract for $1,000 or take advantage of a discounted price with a payment plan and contract. The new LG will cost $25 per month with $300 down or $35 per month with no money down with either a $40 plan or $50 plan, respectively. Anybody interested can also check out more information about pricing for any of the carriers or the retail operators listed above via their respective websites or physical locations. As stated above, the exception to that is Rogers. Customers looking to buy LG’s latest flagship device on Rogers will need to either go online or to the third-party retailers mentioned here.
