Moto X4 Now Available For Pre-Order at Amazon & Other Retailers

The Moto X4, which is Motorola’s latest mid-range offering, is now available for pre-order. You can pre-order the Moto X4 at Amazon, Motorola.com and a few other retailers starting today, and it’ll officially launch on October 26th. The Moto X4 is available in two colors, Super Black and Sterling Blue. It is also available in essentially three variants, one is the Android One model that is for Project Fi, then there’s the Amazon Prime Exclusive model with lockscreen ads, and then the regular old Moto X4.

With the Amazon Prime Exclusive version of the Moto X4, you do get lockscreen ads, but it’s also $329 which is the cheapest way to get the Moto X4. Now if you pick it up from Amazon and then later decide you want to get rid of these lockscreen ads, you are able to pay the other $70 and get rid of them forever, which is a nice perk that Amazon has added for its Prime Exclusive smartphones. It’s a good way to get a pretty good smartphone for a low price, even with ads, but you can also get rid of them down the road. That’s really the only difference between the Amazon Prime Exclusive Moto X4 and the regular Moto X4, which Amazon sells both models. Now the Android One model is a bit different, and it’s only available for Project Fi. It has a simpler operating system with fewer Motorola features, but it should also get faster updates.

Moto X4 sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display, it is powered by that Snapdragon 630 processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Motorola does offer up a micro SD card slot for expanding the storage on the Moto X4, and it does also support adoptable storage, one of the few devices to do so. There’s a 3000mAh battery keeping the Moto X4 powered all day long as well. Motorola is using a USB-C port for charging, and there is a headphone jack, two things that have become very important distinctions to talk about with smartphones in the past year or so.
