Nokia 7 Camera Samples Surface, Following Its Announcement ~ All Things Android

HMD Global had introduced a new Nokia-branded smartphone yesterday, the Nokia 7, and the first camera samples from this smartphone have just surfaced. Now, it’s worth noting that ZEISS’ optics made its way to the Nokia 7, which managed to pleasantly surprise some people due to the fact this is a mid-range phone. The Nokia 7 actually comes with a 16-megapixel main shooter (f/1.8 aperture), while a 5-megapixel snapper (1.4um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture) is placed on the front side of the phone.

Now if you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see eight camera samples, these images have been taken by the Nokia 7’s main shooter, it seems. Now, even though the images have been compressed, they still look rather solid, even though some of them aren’t exactly the sharpest ones out there, but it is possible that the compression is to blame here. Some of those images were taken during really cloudy days, and they still look good, while the colors are spot on. Unfortunately, though we do not get any images that have been taken during the night, in order to check out the low light capabilities of this camera, but don’t expect all that much in low light, however, this is a mid-range phone, and even though it has a good camera, it’s hard to expect it will be able to compete with the best out there, at least judging by the sensor alone, but we’ll see.

The Nokia 7 sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, while the phone is made out of metal and glass. The device sports a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, while it packs in 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 630 64-bit octa-core processor, while Android 7.1.1 Nougat comes pre-installed on it, though an upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo is on the way it seems. A 3,000mAh non-removable battery is also included in this package, and the device comes with a dual SIM setup as well. The Nokia OZO audio is included in this package, and so is a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Nokia 7 was introduced in China, and its pricing starts at 2,499 Yuan ($376).
