Peel has announced that it is selling its very popular, super thin cases for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones that Google debuted last week. These cases are available in the same colors as the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, which include Just Black, Clearly White and Kinda Blue for the Pixel 2 while the Pixel 2 XL gets Just Black and Black & White. Peel is charging $24.99 for cases for both smartphones, so even though the Pixel 2 XL is larger, it is the same price as the Pixel 2, which is good to see.
These cases from Peel are very thin, and basically exist to give the user a way to hide the branding on their smartphones. While the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL don’t have much branding anyways, it’s still a good look for those that want to protect their new smartphone, but don’t want a big bulky case on it. And by offering its cases in the same colors as the smartphone, it allows the case to actually blend in with the smartphone. In fact, a number of people won’t even realize you have a case on your device with Peel’s super thin cases here. We did review Peel’s case for the Galaxy S8 earlier this year, and it blended in quite nicely, while also giving the Galaxy S8 some grip. This is important since the Galaxy S8 is a glass backed device.
Peel is offering its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL cases for pre-order right now. Its website says that these will ship in 3-4 weeks, so keep that in mind when ordering them. Although, Peel does like to under-promise and over-deliver, so there’s a chance that these could launch sooner than that. But since the Pixel 2 isn’t slated to start shipping until next week, it’s not a huge deal. Peel does offer its popular cases for other devices as well, so if you’re looking for a super thin case for really any smartphone, this is the company to checkout.
