Huawei will host a press event in less than an hour at this point, and during that press conference, the company plans to introduce several new ‘Mate 10’ smartphones. Having said that, we’re expecting to see several new Huawei Mate 10-branded smartphones being announced by the company. Huawei is expected to unveil the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro flagships, both of which have been leaking intensively for the past couple of weeks, while chances are that we’ll also see the Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Edition and Mate 10 Lite introduced during this event. The Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Edition will all be fueled by the Kirin 970 64-bit octa-core SoC, which is Huawei’s all-new flagship processor, which was announced during this year’s IFA in Berlin. The Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Edition will be a special edition smartphone, and it will be the most expensive Mate 10-branded phone, while the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro will be Huawei’s ‘regular’ flagships. The Mate 10 Pro is expected to sport thinner bezels than the Mate 10, but the two devices will probably sport similar internals. The Huawei Mate 10 Lite, on the other hand, will also have relatively thin bezels, though unlike its siblings, this phone will probably ship with a mid-range processor.
The Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Edition are expected to sport 4GB / 6GB of RAM, while chances are that all three devices will be made out of metal and glass. All three of these phones will sport a dual camera setup on the back, while Leica’s lenses will be included on top of those sensors. Android 8.0 Oreo will come pre-installed on all of these phones, and on top of it, you’ll get Huawei’s very own skin, Emotion UI (EMUI). The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is rumored to sport a 5.99-inch fullHD (2160 x 1080) display, while it will probably ship with a 4,000mAh non-removable battery.
