Two Vivo Smartphones Get Certified By TENAA With 3GB Of RAM

Two new Vivo-branded smartphones have just surfaced on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), the Vivo Y66i and Vivo Y75. These two handsets are Vivo’s upcoming mid-range offerings, it seems, and the latter smartphone actually sports considerably thinner bezels than the first one. Having said that, it seems like both of these phones are made out of metal, and both of them ship with a single camera on the back. The Vivo Y75 comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, while the Vivo Y66i does not have a fingerprint scanner at all, which suggests that it will be extremely affordable.

Having said that, let’s kick things off with the Vivo Y66i, shall we. This handset comes with a set of capacitive keys below its display, and it seems like it sports a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display. The device is fueled by a quad-core SoC clocked at 1.4GHz, though we still do not know what SoC exactly is this, nor which company manufactures it. The Vivo Y66i sports 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. This smartphone sports an 8-megapixel shooter on the back, while it comes with a 5-megapixel snapper up front. Android 7.1.2 Nougat comes pre-installed on this handset, according to TENAA, while Vivo’s custom UI is placed on top of Google’s offering. A 2,930mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package, while the phone comes in a Rose Gold color variant only, though there’s a chance Vivo will release more color options once this phone becomes official. The Vivo Y66i measures 153.56 x 75.79 x 7.49mm, while it weighs 157 grams.

The Vivo Y75, on the other hand, comes with a set of on-screen buttons, at least it seems like it. This handset features a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. This handset is fueled by an octa-core SoC clocked at 2GHz, though we still do not know what SoC is this. Android 7.1.1 Nougat comes pre-installed on this phone, along with Vivo’s custom UI. An 8-megapixel shooter seems to be included on the back of this phone, while one such camera will be available on the phone’s front as well, though TENAA suggests that these two snappers might be interpolated to 16 and 13 megapixels, respectively. A 2,900mAh non-removable battery comes on the inside of the Vivo X75, while the phone comes in a Gold color variant only, at least according to TENAA. The Vivo Y75 measures 149.3 x 72.8 x 7.98mm, while it weighs 139 grams.
