I'm currently a Sprint customer and I've learned that they use CDMA for their service, which is not compatible outside the United States. Since I am deploying overseas, I want to know if I am able to buy an international version of my favorite phone, the Note 4, and then place the SIM card that is in my current phone into that one and use my Sprint service while I'm in the United States, and then insert a local carrier SIM for wherever I am deployed. While I am deployed, Sprint can suspend my phone plan until I am back stateside, so I think it would be convenient to just have one phone that I can swap the SIM card in for Sprint stateside and the SIM overseas. If this is not the case, if anyone could direct me to a way to do this or an easier way, that would be greatly appreciated.
